Pre-Match and In-Play Betting on Football, Tennis, Basketball and More
We know that nothing compares to the thrill of live sport, except betting on it in real time. That is why our sportsbook is built for players who want fast markets, competitive odds and full control, with a Sports lobby for pre-match prices and a Live Sports lobby that follows every fixture as it happens.
The sportsbook covers a wide range of disciplines: classic favourites such as football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, boxing and MMA, plus niche options such as table tennis, handball and snooker, and a virtual sports section that runs around the clock. Each event carries multiple markets, from full-time result and over/under to handicaps and player-specific outcomes, and during big tournaments such as the World Cup we have run a €20,000 Sports Leaderboard where the top 15 bettors share the prize pool.
The interface is mobile-optimised, so you can place a wager mid-match from your phone. ComboBoost rewards mixed multi-selection bets with enhanced winnings of up to 100%, Early Payout settles qualifying bets before the final whistle, Bore Draw money-back refunds your stake on selected football matches that end 0-0, and 10% Sports Cashback returns part of your daily net losses on settled bets. A separate Sports Welcome Offer is available for new bettors alongside the casino welcome bonus. Every price at LyraBet is backed by real-time data, so odds stay fair, current and competitive.
To keep the experience transparent, we apply clear betting rules across every sport. Our terms define how abandoned games are settled, how payouts work and what the maximum stake limits are, and the table below summarises the most important rules per sport.
| Sport | Bet Types | Key Rules | Settlement Basis |
| Football | 1X2, Over/Under, Handicap, Both Teams to Score | Bets settled after 90 minutes unless otherwise stated; extra time not included by default. | Official result from governing body |
| Basketball | Match Winner, Total Points, Quarter Bets | Overtime is included unless otherwise stated. Push if match is voided before full time. | Final score including OT |
| Tennis | Match Winner, Set Handicap, Total Games | If a player retires early, all single bets are void unless the specified market is decided. | Official ATP/WTA score |
| Boxing/MMA | Winner, Round Betting, Method of Victory | If a match ends in a draw and the bet type excludes it, bets are lost. No contest = void. | Result from official governing body |
| Volleyball | Match Winner, Set Betting | Abandoned games are void unless the outcome is already determined. | Final result confirmed by league |
| Virtual Sports | Winner, Over/Under, Place markets | Fixed-odds events that run around the clock; each event is settled on its published result. | Result declared by the virtual sports provider |
| Live Betting | Dynamic odds on all sports | Bets may be delayed or suspended during critical in-game moments. Odds may change rapidly. | Settled on official live data feeds |
How Bets Are Settled: the 90-Minute Rule, Overtime and Retirements
We want every bet you place to be informed, transparent and fair, so our sportsbook follows a set of betting rules tailored to each sport. They define how outcomes are settled, how special situations such as cancellations or overtime are handled, and which conditions apply to live bets, combo bets and promotions such as ComboBoost, Early Payout and Bore Draw.
For most major sports we settle on the official result from the relevant governing body, for example FIFA for football or the ATP and WTA for tennis. In football, unless clearly stated otherwise, all bets are settled after 90 minutes of regular time, excluding extra time and penalties. In basketball, overtime is included by default in most markets. In tennis, if a player retires early, bets are voided unless the outcome of the selected market has already been determined.
Live betting comes with dynamic odds that shift with the momentum of the game. We apply brief betting delays to keep pricing accurate, especially around goals or penalties, and if a match is postponed or cancelled, bets are voided unless the event is rescheduled within 24 hours.
By placing a bet you accept the rules for that market and sport. The full sportsbook rules are published on our platform, and our support team is available over live chat and email if anything is unclear. At LyraBet we keep the game fun, but also fair, for everyone.
